Saturation

Rain pours down in torrents brew,
Floodplains fill to pay its due
Ready yet no less for haste,
On your knees to drink for taste.
Lake of the woods has found its home,
The river flows in, never alone.
Fall will come just for a time,
Leaves will cover, life sublime.
Feel the water in your mind,
Approach the edge only to find
An end to yet another stream
But opens up to fill more dreams.
Patience brings the nature near
Break the surface, escape all fear
Tangled deep, no light be seen
Up for breath, subconscious clean.
Fish the spot that once was dry,
Fertile now to land the fly,
On the water, sucked right in
Fish's life is wearing thin.
Time to go, time to return,
Round and round the lake to learn,
That time is but a lost cause here
One loses time and loses fear.
